I am ready to bet, you had no idea that that the most expensive food in the world is cake and that it is a fruit cake. The following cutie is encrusted with 223 small diamonds and costs $1.6 million. Don’t forget to remove the precious stones before eating. It took cooks a couple of months to create this masterpiece.

The following caviar is the most expensive in the world. It can be found only in the Black Sea basin, in the Caspian Sea and occasionally in the Adriatic Sea. A 3.9 pound container costs $48,750. Beluga considered to be endangered and import of the caviar was banned 4 years ago.

Meat the world’s most expensive mushroom – white truffle. It can be found only in the Piedmont region of Northern Italy, and costs sold for anywhere between $1,350 and $2,700 per kilogram.
